During restoration of pipeline damaged by the slide at Canada Vista and Dcenic drive, an undocumented 2 inch pipe was broken during excavation.  The resulting sharp drop in water pressure caused three pressure relief valves to stick open and a number of leaks resulted.  Public works responded to all reported leaks, which have been stopped or isolated.  If you spot or suspect a water leak, please inform Terry Adams immediately at 773-8240. 

This is an opportunity to remind all water customers that it is a good idea to install a pressure relief valve on your side of your water meter as an added measure of protection for your home.  Cuesta's water system is on a hillside and large increases in water pressure are possible should a pressure relief valve fail, as happened today.
