On December 19, 2007, the County informed the Guild that it will propose the formation of an assessment district to the County Board of Supervisors on January 29, 2008 with the intent of raising $3.1 million to help fund the repairs proposed by Soils Engineering Construction. The County Board of Supervisors are scheduled to approve a contract with SEC to repair the Scenic Drive landslide during its meeting on January 8, 2008.

Supervisor Rich Gordon will be visiting La Honda on Monday, January 28 at 7:00 p.m. to discuss the assessment district scenario with the community. All members of the CLHG should plan on attending this informational meeting. The Board of Directors will provide further information on these events in January, 2008.
