4th Annual San Mateo County Disaster Preparedness Day
The San Mateo County Board of Supervisors in partnership with the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office of Emergency Services is sponsoring a “Disaster Preparedness Day” on Saturday September 13th. The event will be held from 10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P. M. at the San Mateo Event Center. This will be a great opportunity to receive additional information on preparing yourself and your family for emergency situations as well as seeing many of the emergency services agencies supporting communities throughout the county.
This year a special one hour “Family and Friends CPR” class will be available to those that attend the event. This very valuable skill will be taught in both English and Spanish.
There will be a preparedness related gift for the first 1500 families. Hotdogs and a drink will be provided for the first 3000 in attendance.
This is a rare opportunity to see some of the more unique and unusual equipment that is available to provide assistance in times of emergency.
This is a fun, family friendly, event. Bring the kids, and have an enjoyable day.
Parking and admission to this event are FREE.
See the Event Flyer for more details.
